What the free plugin does

TalkDock Free is a focused click-to-chat plugin. It displays one floating WhatsApp button on the public site and can also render a button inside content through the [talkdock_button] shortcode.

The free package is intentionally lightweight: it does not add background visitor telemetry, does not require a third-party JavaScript SDK, and only opens the WhatsApp destination configured by the site administrator when a visitor clicks.

  • Enable or disable the floating button site-wide.
  • Use a WhatsApp URL from wa.me, api.whatsapp.com, or web.whatsapp.com.
  • Set a screen-reader accessibility label.
  • Choose gradient start and end colors through the WordPress color picker.
  • Place the button left or right and set side and bottom distance in pixels.
  • Use bounce, pulse, shake, or no animation; reduced-motion preferences are respected by the bundled CSS.
  • Optionally append a prefilled WhatsApp message.
  • Show the button to all visitors, only logged-in users, or only logged-out visitors.
  • Hide the floating button on screens narrower than 782px.
  • Use [talkdock_button] for inline placement in posts, pages, or shortcode-capable builders.

What TalkDock Pro adds

TalkDock Pro 1.1.6 is a premium add-on that runs on top of the free plugin. Its premium features are license-gated and become available only when the Pro license is active on the site.

  • Business hours with timezone-aware weekly schedules and offline mode.
  • Offline lead capture with local lead storage, optional admin email notification, CSV export, and delete tools.
  • Multiple WhatsApp agents with name, title, department, avatar URL, priority order, and per-agent WhatsApp links.
  • Page and URL targeting rules with include and exclude modes.
  • Local click analytics with 7, 30, and 90 day views, daily chart, agent breakdown, and CSV export.
  • Optional Google Analytics and Meta Pixel event firing when the site already loads gtag or fbq.
  • Greeting bubble with delay, close button, typing indicator, and once-per-session behavior.
  • Premium button styles, pill labels, consent prompt, twenty additional motion styles, inline shortcode variant, and a dynamic Gutenberg block.

Public transparency and external services

This content is written for customers, administrators, and review teams. It separates what the plugin actually does from what the site owner may configure outside the plugin.

TalkDock is independent software. It is not officially affiliated with WhatsApp, Meta, WordPress, WooCommerce, Google Analytics, or Meta Pixel. Third-party platforms keep their own terms, privacy policies, availability, and security practices.

  • A displayed WhatsApp link does not by itself send a server-side request to WhatsApp from TalkDock.
  • Clicking a WhatsApp link leaves the site and is handled by the visitor browser and the relevant WhatsApp or Meta service.
  • The free Report-a-Bug workflow sends data to the Markas Studio bug receiver only after an administrator intentionally submits a report.
  • TalkDock Pro license checks communicate with the Markas license API to activate, refresh, or deactivate a license.
  • GA or Meta events are optional and fire only to analytics scripts already present on the customer site.
